AKRON – Safe, responsible driving is encouraged year-round, but there is increased focus as the weather gets warmer and more people hit the roads.
With that in mind, Summa Health and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office will hold a “Click It or Ticket” kickoff event from 10:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. tomorrow, May 18, at Summa Health’s Akron Campus Critical Care Center lobby. Presentations will run from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. in the Critical Care Center lobby, 525 East Market Street. The event will also include interactive simulators, games, prizes and free refreshments. Parking will be validated for non-Summa Health employees.
According to the United States Department of Transportation, 13,000 lives a year are saved by seat belt use. It has been unequivocally proven that wearing a seat belt is the single, most effective thing you can do to protect yourself in a crash.
