Letter: Taste of Hudson impact is bigger than city

Published:

I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Andy Malitz and his Taste of Hudson team. The Taste of Hudson is celebrating 10 years this year, and its impact on Hudson is far-reaching.

What started as a project of the Leadership Hudson class 2003/2004 has become a major food, entertainment and music festival. More than 35,000 people are expected to visit Hudson over Labor Day weekend to enjoy The Taste, which has free fun and entertainment for all members of the family. Three hundred volunteers work with the TOH staff to make this happen, and in the last nine years more than $267,000 has been donated to Hudson and area civic and non-profit organizations.

To me, this event and the hundreds of people who dedicate themselves to making it a success are a perfect example of why Hudson is a wonderful place to live.

Liz Murphy, Hudson
