I would like to congratulate The Evaporator Works on a fun and hopefully successful event on July 26.
The Flea was a lot of fun with many interesting vendors and delicious food trucks. Antiques, furniture, jewelry, so many things to look at and buy. The food was incredible! Loved the food trucks!
Downtown is vibrant with activity on Saturdays with the Farmers Market, which is always fun, delicious and entertaining. Love all of the food choices, ready to eat as well as the fresh veggies, herbs and meats. The variety is wonderful and I hope they add more. It reminds me of the Farmers Market on Martha's Vineyard, where you can buy meats, veggies, honeys, mustards, fresh cut flowers and freshly baked popovers (I live for the popovers!), alpaca hats and knitwear, too. And it's really fun when they bring one of the alpacas. Kids go nuts! Great variety, like ours. The variety brings out so many more people. Some want veggies. Some come for the coffee. We all have our favorites. And there is always something interesting to learn. I love it!
And it is great to see our Village Green being used as it was always meant to be, a gathering place for the community. You run into friends every time you go. Now adding the Flea to our "last Saturday" of the month gives us another reason to go downtown and stay for the day. I hope that the Flea grows with more vendors and food trucks and happens at least every other Saturday. Once a month isn't enough for me! Again, my congratulations to the Evaporator Works for this great new event. Downtown is the place to be on Saturdays in the summer. Thanks, everyone!
