On Sept. 27, Franklin Street in Hudson received an honorary name, Ada Cooper Miller Lane. The event, and dedication, was to honor Hudson's longest living citizen who has spent the past nearly 110 years living in this community. The dedication included a proclamation read by Mayor William A. Currin, presentation of the Good Day In Hudson Citizen Of A Lifetime Award and some outstanding music by the WRA Symphonic Winds and WRA Choir. These young performers, who saluted Ada, one of Western Reserve Academy's favorite graduates, made the event very special.
I would like to thank everyone who made the event possible, including Christopher Burner, Kathryn Mueller and Ed Wiles from WRA, Mayor William A. Currin, Anthony Bales, Jodie Roberts, David Basil and all of City Council.
A thank you also goes out to Olympic Awards for the special plaque they donated for Ada's award.
Frank Youngwerth, Hudson
