Terry M. Farmer, 56, of Hudson, Ohio passed away on March 7, 2017, surrounded by his family after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Terry was born on August 29, 1960 in Tampa, Fl. to Janis and Frank Farmer. Terry received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, and received both his Master's Degree and Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Terry enjoyed a successful career working in Organizational Development for Ernst & Young, Rubbermaid, Nationwide Insurance, Eaton, and The Walt Disney Company. He inspired innovation and ingenuity in his field and always led by example, believing that to be a successful leader, it was important to surround yourself with a team of creative and motivated people. Terry was also incredibly passionate about technology, and loved keeping up to date with the best cameras, televisions, and audio/visual equipment. His other passions included racquetball, tennis, and daily bike rides. Since both of his sons attended The Ohio State University, Terry found himself cheering for the Buckeyes alongside his family every Saturday. Terry also had a habit of scheduling Disney World summer vacations in February, saying it gave him something to look forward to while dealing with the cold Ohio winters. Terry was an inspirational father, a loving husband, and a fiercely loyal friend.
Terry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carrie Farmer, his sons Kevin and Kenny Farmer, all of Hudson, OH, and his sister Jan Farmer, of Valrico, FL. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Janis Farmer and Frank Farmer.
