Gail Trask Jones, born and raised in Little Falls, New York, 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 with her family by her side after battling Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years.
Formally of Hudson, Ohio, she moved to Cincinnati in 2014 to be closer to her family. She was a recent member of Crossroads Church and had unwavering faith. She fought to live with heroic grace and unmatched will, all for the love of her family and friends. She never uttered an ill word or a why me? She is an incredible example to all. She enjoyed tennis and golf, was an accomplished bridge player and a successful real estate agent for Realty One until her disease would no longer allow her to participate. She persevered and took pleasure in all things from the sidelines when she could no longer take an active part.
She was a selfless, generous friend, and will be remembered for her beautiful smile and kind heart. What she did best and loved best, was her devoted husband, beloved children, cherished grandchildren and her sisters. She loved her family with such fierceness, as there is no other explanation for her long life. Gail is survived by her loving husband ( Shel ) of 54 years, her daughters Lisa ( Dan ) Orem and Shelley ( David ) Kershaw, son Ford ( Jill ), treasured grandchildren, Hayden, Channell, Ford, Nina, her namesake Katie Gail and loving, devoted sister Donna Saylor. She was preceded in death by her sister Linda George and best friend Kay Treend.
A celebration will take place this Spring in Hudson, Ohio. Memorials in Gail's honor may be sent to The Multiple Sclerosis Society
Ohio Valley Multiple Sclerosis Society 4440 Lake Forest Drive, Suite 120 Cincinnati, OH 45242
When Susan and I lived in Hudson we were lucky to have Gail and Shel as friends. May Gail now be in perpetual peace and may Shel and family focus on all the good times.
