Ellen Louise Reuter, 79, formerly a long-time resident of Hudson, Ohio, died Aug. 5, 2014, in Manassas, Virginia.
Mrs. Reuter was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of Frederick and Anna Henderson Klein.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Reuter, whom she married Aug. 4, 1956.
Mrs. Reuter was a counseling psychologist who had her own practice in Hudson and was a former professor at Kent State University. She was an active member of First Congregational Church of Hudson. In addition to being church moderator in 1994-95, she was a member of the choir and deaconess. She was elected church person of the year in 1995-96.
She is survived by her children Bradley (Nancy) Klein Reuter of Bedford, Ohio; Dean (Lou Anne) Allen Reuter of Bristow; Rachel Houle of Saline, Michigan; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Hudson, 47 Aurora St. in Hudson. Inurnment will be in the church's columbarium.
