Kathryn J. "Kathy" Kohl, 73, died July 15, 2014.
She was born in Cleveland April 30, 1941 and lived most of her life in the Hudson area and retired from Hudson Public Schools as a cafeteria worker after many years of service.
Mrs. Kohl was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John Kohl, Sr.; her daughter, Jami Sue Kohl; her parents, Elmer and Marion Gazdagh; and her brother James.
She is survived by two sons, John, Jr. (Cheri) and David (Cathy); and daughter, Renee (Gino); sisters, Ginny (Dave) Jarosky and Maggie Gazdagh; and brothers, George (Bev) and Bill; and six grandchildren, David, Katie, Dan, Brittany, Kirsten and Kelly; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special neighbors.
She loved crocheting, reading books, camping, visiting casinos and especially enjoyed the company of her family and friends.
Mrs. Kohl's family would like to thank the entire Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital for all of its kindness, love, support and concern while she was in their care.
At her request, cremation has taken place.
Friends may call at St. Mary/ Markillie Cemetery in Hudson Aug. 15 at 2:30 p.m. for a graveside memorial service and burial.
A family and friends gathering will immediately follow afterwards at 13 Prospect St., Hudson. Parking allowed in the St. Mary's Church parking lot.
