Kenneth Simms Caldwell Jr. died June 3, 2014 at the age of 90 at the Crown Center Laurel Lake in Hudson.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Featherstone Caldwell; children Barbara Caldwell, Margaret Caldwell and Kenneth Caldwell (KayLynn) and grandchildren Matthew Johnston (Alexa), Alexandra Korosi, Jon Korosi, Kenneth Korosi, David Liebenson, Michael Liebenson, Samuel Liebenson, Kenny Caldwell, and Reagan Caldwell; and great-grandchild, Stella Johnston.
He was predeceased by his brother "Pat" Stratton Franklin Caldwell.
Born Oct. 7, 1923 in Minnesota, he has lived in California, Shaker Heights and Whispering Pines, N. C.
Mr. Caldwell attended the University of California, Berkley-Engineering class of 1947 and was a life alumni member. He was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. He retired from Ernst and Young in 1981 where he worked as a principle in governmental affairs. He was a member of the Hudson Masonic Lodge #105, the American Legion, the Al Koran Shrine (32nd degree member), the Cleveland Grays in which he was a Lt. Col. and a member in Perpetuity, the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity.
He and his wife traveled all over the world. He enjoyed golfing, basketball and was an avid collector of military antiques.
Services will be at the Laurel lake Community Room, Hudson, June 23 at 3 p.m. Private interment is at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
