Ruth Wick Logan Helped to establish family business

Ruth Wick Logan, 92, died March 30, 2014 at Anna Maria Nursing Home.

She was the third child born to Margaret Howells Wick and Dennick Manney Wick March 21, 1922, in Youngstown. She was a direct descendent of John Dennick Wick who was brought by John Young to establish Youngstown and the First Presbyterian Church.

She lived and was educated in Columbus and returned to Youngstown in 1939. She married John A. Logan in May 1941. During the war years, they lived in Baltimore and Cazenovia, N.Y. where she discovered her love of tennis, sailing and skiing. The family moved to Hudson in 1950.

During her 25 years in Hudson, she helped to establish the family real estate business. She was active in the League of Women Voters, Hudson Community Service, American Field Service and the Hudson Players.

Mrs. Logan retired to Clearwater, Fla. where she lived for more than 20 years until a serious fall required her to move back to Ohio to be near family.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Molly Logan of Hudson; granddaughters, Deborah Berggren of Chicago, and Sarah Maloy of Midlothian, Va.; and five great

grandchildren.

A private service will be at a future date with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Youngstown. Memorial gifts should be directed to Hudson Community Service, Holiday Lighting Fund, P.O. Box 284, Hudson, OH. 44236.
