James E. Scott of Cambridge, Mass. and former Hudson resident died in his sleep of heart failure March 11, 2013.
Mr. Scott was born in Hudson June 3, 1956 and graduated from the Western Reserve Academy and Colby College in Waterville, Maine. He was employed in the food and beverage industry in the Boston area and recently had been working as a realtor in Cambridge. He was active in the Cambridge Art Association and raised money and grants for various organizations.
He is survived by his mother, Marion H. Scott, and father, Edward T. Scott, brother, Andrew W. Scott, all of Wooster; sister, Leslie S. Dienel and her husband, Charles Douglass Dienel, of Scituate, Mass; two nieces, Casey Dienel of Portland, Ore., and Robin Dienel of Washington, D.C.
A memorial service will take place April 20 at 2 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Hudson. Contributions in Mr. Scott's name may be made to the church or Western Reserve Academy or any organization of your choice.
I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He truly was a force of nature and will be missed by so many of his friends as well as all of those whose lives he touched through his many and random acts of kindness. RIP, Jim.
