Mary F. Cronan, 84, of Fleetwood, Pa., died Dec. 4, 2012, at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Mrs. Cronan was born in Waterbury, Conn., on July 3, 1928, to the late Thomas and Mary (Hannon) Foody and was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Francis Michael Cronan Jr., who died Dec. 27, 2005.
Mrs. Cronan was a college graduate of Albertus Magnus, Yale, Conn., and the University of Connecticut, where she received her master's degree. She was an elementary school teacher in the states of Connecticut, Ohio and South Carolina, as well as a librarian in the Hudson City School District in Ohio. She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Reading, Pa.
Survivors include a daughter, Maura A. (Cronan) (husband, Bruce) Gerstner of Fleetwood; sons, F. Michael Cronan III (wife, Rebecca Baker) of Akron, Sean T. Cronan (wife, Ellen M. Cronan) of Hudson, Kevin P. Cronan of Hudson and Brian T. Cronan of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Patrick, Kaity, Mary Ellen, Catherine, Erin, Timmy and Emily; and sister, Sally (Foody) Rooney (husband, Jerry Rooney) of Melbourne, Fla.
