Two Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) videos won Bronze awards in the 31st Annual Telly Awards in the Film/Video category, under Charitable/Not-for-profit. Nearly 11,000 entries were received from all 50 states and numerous countries.

"Hospice Care: A Perfect Ending, A Perfect Beginning" features the story of a Cuyahoga Falls woman and her parents' decision to turn to Hospice of VNS for quality of life when each was nearing end of life. The video is available to view at www.vnsa.com. "The Hospice Experience" video features three generations of a hospice patient's family and how their lives were touched by hospice. This video goes more in depth as to what to expect as a patient begins hospice care.

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs; the finest video and film productions; and web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world.

Both videos were funded by John A. McAlonan Fund of Akron Community Foundation. For more information on Hospice of VNS, call 330-665-1455 or 1-800-335-1455.
