I applaud the Park Board's choice of Seneca Woods.
It is a great recognition to the American Indians who utilized the Ohio lands as a neutral passage and hunting grounds. Owning land came with the European settlers which caused misunderstandings, conflicts, and failed treatys with the American Indians. It is a fitting tribute to recognize the first people who treated the land and its offerings with great respect. As the Senecas believed the land belonged to everyone, Seneca Woods belongs to all who will enjoy and use it.
