Greg Kutchin, a 6'-2" high school senior at CVCA and starting guard on their varsity basketball squad this season, took a "time out" recently to firm up plans following graduation this spring.

Kutchin signed, at CVCA, with Taylor University and will play Soccer for them this fall. During CVCA's soccer season, which took their Team all the way to Columbus again last fall, Greg started every game at left back. While the offense scored 77 goals, the defense only allowed 15 goals all season and succeeded in ten (10) games to shut out their opponent. In addition to strong defense, from left-back Kutchin had 4 assists and 1 goal and helped his team preserve the program "history" of no home-field losses the past seven (7) years. CVCA's final record was 16-1-5 as Ohio's DIII State Runner Up, losing only to Worthington Christian 2-1 in overtime.

Kutchin "resumed play" the following weekend scoring fifteen (15) points for the Royals as they beat Lutheran West in a Division III sectional semifinal win at Painesville Harvey.
