Giving Parents a Hand Lecture SeriesFebruary 15, 2010
Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital presents the 2010 "Giving Parents a Hand" Series. All sessions are held from Noon-1:00 PM in the Lerner Research Institute- Room NA5-24. "Promoting Healthy Sleep Habits" will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 and will be led by Dr. Andrew Cohen. Raising healthy children physically and emotionally is a difficult job, and specialists from Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital's Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health have developed a unique monthly series to help parents address many of the most common issues. * Please note that there is NO charge for these sessions.* Future discussions, all during the noon hour, will center on handling shyness, setting boundaries for safe and appropriate behavior and other important topics. Whether you're raising a young child or a teenager, learn more about how to be the best parent to your son or daughter. All sessions listed below will be held from Noon to 1:00 PM in NA5-24/Library- Lerner Research Institute, East 100th Street and Carnegie Avenue. 2/23/2010 - Giving Parents a Hand: Promoting Healthy Sleep Habits (Dr. Andrew Cohen) Description: Discussion will include strategies to help promote healthy sleep hygiene in children while reducing challenging sleep-related behaviors (e.g., resistance to going to bed, difficulty falling asleep, preference for sleeping in parents' bed).
