The Hudson varsity bowling teams earned easy victories over Northeast Ohio Conference rival Mayfield Feb. 1 at the Sto-Kent Family Entertainment Center.

The girls rolled to a 2,364-911 win and the boys scored a 2,551-2,436 victory.

Samantha Kachele was the top bowler for the girls team. She rolled games of 217 and 238, respectively.

Kayla Meehan was next with games of 178 and 225 and Natalie Briganti added scores of 215 and 146.

Also competing for Hudson (12-1) were Mindy Meredith (162-189), Jessica Bailey (179) and Libby Wasserbauer (145).

Sean Crowe had the high game (246) for the boys. He also rolled a 175. Adam Marshall rolled the high series with games of 214 and 211. Not far behind was Brad Riedel, who rolled games of 224 and 177.

Tommy Fitzgerald (157-200) and Mike Tereletsky (189-141) also competed for the Explorers (5-8).

The junior varsity boys scored a 2,106-1,994 win. The JV boys’ total was its best team score of the season.

Mike Rybak had the high game of 222 for Hudson. He also scored a 171. Matt Rybak rolled the high series with games of 193 and 206.

Justin Ruffing (160-169), Gregg Gadola (145), Patrick Butkovic (142), Rocco Vernia (129) and Brad Bohrer (110) also bowled for the Explorers.

All three Hudson teams were scheduled to entertain NOC foe Garfield Heights Feb. 4 at the Sto-Kent Family Entertainment Center. Results were not available at press time.

They are set to visit NOC rival Stow-Munroe Falls 4:15 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Sto-Kent Family Entertainment Center.
