---FASTFRAME will be hosting a fundraiser for Hattie Larlham Creative Arts program with local artist Shannon Casey on Saturday February 27th and Monday March 1st from 10 - 6pm. At this exciting event, Casey will be offering 30 minutes charcoal portraits, and with each portrait sketch FASTFRAME will donate $5 to Hattie Larlham. The 2 day event will be held at Hudson's FASTFRAME Store on 89 First St. ( 2nd floor parking deck ) in the First and Main Shopping District.
Since 2007, Hattie Larlham Creative Arts program has given a voice to artists with profound disabilities. Assisted by professional artists, Hattie's artists create art without the focus of their limitations. This program allows the disabled to express themselves visually and accomplish beautiful artwork. FASTFRAME has been proud to frame all of the pieces created in the Creative Arts Studio.
This event is a great opportunity to help Hattie's Creative Arts program and also get an affordable portrait done by a local artist . And this will be a relaxing atmosphere where children and adults can sit down, enjoy cookies and punch and get to know the artist. "With Easter and Mother's Day around the corner an original sketch of your child or a mother/daughter portrait is a great gift that will be cherished forever," Mike Coduto, owner of FASTFRAME comments.
Hudson artist, Shannon Casey specializes in portraiture using oil and charcoal media. She is a member of the Akron Society of Artists, Hudson Society of Artists and Peninsula Art Academy. Casey states, "I've always been drawn to creating faces and figures and I enjoy seeing the beauty in each and every one of my models." These beautiful charcoal drawings just take 30 minutes to create, but last a lifetime.
