Robert W. Atchison, 47, died peacefully Feb. 2, 2010, with family by his side.
He is survived by his three children, William, Bennett and Charles; their mother, Susan; his father, Walter; sisters, Susan (Robert) Gaspar and Cathy (Jim) Galat; and brothers, Scott (Claire) and David Atchison. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally (nee Ginn) Atchison.
Born in Pittsburgh, Mr. Atchison was a 35-year Hudson resident and attended the Hudson schools. He was a member of the boys' varsity golf and tennis teams, and was an avid skier. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Utah, followed by an master's degree from Cleveland State University. He was a member of the Hudson Heritage Association, as well as the Emerald Necklace MG Register. He enjoyed a successful career as vice president of consumer finance with National City Bank in Cleveland. Most of all, he valued the time spent raising his children.
A memorial service will be at the Spiritual Life Society/Church on the Green in Hudson on Feb. 7, 2010, at 2 p.m. Arrangements are by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home.
