The Stairwell Singers, a local 12-member Christian vocal ensemble, will perform a Christmas concert Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at Laurel Lake Retirement Community, 200 Laurel Lake Drive in Hudson.
The concert is free and open to the public, and will feature a wide variety of traditional and sacred Christmas music.
The Stairwell Singers offer a mix of Christian music in a wide variety of styles from traditional to contemporary and gospel.
The group performed with Grammy Award winning tenor Larry Ford at the Falls River Square Amphitheater in Cuyahoga Falls, at Chautauqua, and has been heard on radio stations in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
The ensemble has given benefit concerts to aid Karen Tribe refugees from Myanmar who have resettled in the Akron area, and other causes.
The Stairwell Singers will also be one of the groups to perform at the 28th annual Holiday Tree Festival at the John S. Knight Center in Akron on Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. Proceeds from the event help support patient care programs, equipment, medical research and education at Children's Hospital.
