Patricia Anne Lawrence and Richard J. Hessler were united in marriage July 11, 2009, in a morning ceremony on the lower deck next to Brandywine Falls in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, with the Rev. Lynn Bressi-Rowles officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kathy and Steve Lawrence of Hudson, and the groom is the son of Michelle and Richard J. Hessler Jr. of Spring Hills, Fla.
Only family members were invited to the wedding. In attendance were the bride's parents, her paternal grandparents, Henry and Hattie Lawrence of Cherry Hill, N.J.; her sister Katie, the maid of honor, of Hudson; her brother Steve, his wife Melissa and infant son Evan of Phoenix; and her brother Mike and his wife Holly of Phoenix.
The groom's parents from Florida and his uncle Tom, aunt Elaine and cousin Erin Hessler from Avon also were present.
A dinner reception followed at Le Fever's River Grille in Cuyahoga Falls with 17 people in attendance.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Hudson High School. She attended Kent State University and is employed as a personal trainer.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Plymouth South High School (1995) and Manhattan College (1999) in Riverdale, N.Y. He is employed as a geo-technical engineer for DLZ Ohio, an engineering company in Cuyahoga Falls.
The couple now resides in Akron.
