The closure of Boston Mills Road at the intersection with state Route 8 has been postponed until July 1, the Ohio Department of Transportation reported last week.
ODOT had not finished work on the extension of Chittenden Road to Boston Mills Road in time to close the road June 24 as previously scheduled.
Chittenden Road will serve as a detour during construction of a new interchange at state Route 8, Boston Mills Road and Hines Hill Road.
Boston Mills is expected to be closed until fall 2010.
This work is part of a $68.4 million project to create a new Route 8 interchange that connects the Ohio Turnpike interchange with Boston Mills and Hines Hill roads by June 2011.
