Time Warner Cable teams up with Wal-Mart
Time Warner Cable recently announced customers are now able to purchase its cable, broadband Internet access and digital phone service in 54 Northeast Ohio Wal-Mart locations.
Customers can sign up for services with the help of a Wal-Mart electronics associate, guiding them on selecting packages of their choice through easily accessible in-store kiosks at the Wal-Mart "Connection Center."
The partnership between the nation's leading retailer and second largest cable operator will allow customers to access new affordable services to enhance their communication and home entertainment needs.
"Today's consumer is looking for value and convenience," said Time Warner Cable Northeast Ohio Division President Steve Fry. "We know that they want to watch what they want, when they want, and many want it in high definition. They want fast, reliable Internet access and they want unlimited calling plans. This partnership with Wal-Mart provides customers better access to their entertainment and communications needs with just one stop, making our customers' lives even easier."
In the Connection Center, the customers choose the services that they desire for their home -- Digital Cable, Road Runner and Digital Phone -- and requests an installation appointment.
Time Warner Cable contacts the customer to confirm the installation date and time within 24 hours.
The partnership with Wal-Mart is in addition to existing retail relationships with Best Buy, hhgregg and Circuit City.
Northeast Ohio customers can now purchase Time Warner Cable services at 101 retail store locations.
