Peninsula hosts events

The Peninsula Library, 6105 Riverview Road, will host its Friends of the Library book sale through May 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Peninsula Library Foundation will host "Write a Will Day" May 12 from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the library.

This service is free but appointments are necessary.

Debora Roznovsky, an area flutist, will offer a flute concert with her students May 18 at 2 p.m. in the gazebo behind the Peninsula library, or in the library if it rains.

Craft cards at library

Jane Nied will teach participants techniques of card-making May 19 at 7 p.m.

Sample cards are on display in the library main lobby.

A nominal donation will be accepted the night of the class to cover the cost of the materials provided.

Registration is required.

Shipwrecks of
Lake Erie explored

Authors Georgann and Mike Wachter will describe their adventures diving and investigating the "Shipwrecks of Lake Erie" May 21 at 7 p.m. at the Hudson Library and Historical Society.

What started as a hobby for this husband and wife diving team has evolved into a full-time job investigating the myths and realities behind the thousands of shipwrecks scattered all over the Great Lakes.

This program is free.
