Window smashed at old elementary

Hudson -- Someone tossed a piece of asphalt through a window at the former Hudson Elementary School on Oviatt Street, a Hudson City Schools employee reported April 14.

The police report indicated the vandalism occurred sometime during the previous weekend. Damage was estimated at $350.

In another incident involving the schools, a 16-year-old male student said his car was damaged during the day April 21 while it was parked at the high school on Hudson-Aurora Road.

According to the police report, there was a long scratch on the side of the vehicle. No estimate of damages was available.

Attempted burglary

April 21. Screen removed from window: A Nantucket Drive resident said someone attempted to gain entry to her home sometime during the evening.

According to the police report, a screen was pried off in a first floor window and items beneath the window were moved.

Nothing was reported missing.

Auto theft

April 7. Truck stolen: A Parma man said his 2000 Ford Ranger truck was stolen from the street on Sampson Circle. The vehicle was not locked.

No estimate of loss was provided.

An investigation is pending.

Deception to
obtain drugs

April 21. Woman attempts to obtain drugs with photocopied prescription: A Darrow Road drugstore employee said a 35-year-old Cleveland woman attempted to purchase drugs using a fake prescription.

According to the police report, the woman had photocopied a prescription for Focalin, a central nervous system stimulant. The druggist did not dispense the drugs.

An investigation is pending.
