Robert and Jean Hamilton of Scholls, Ore. announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristin Dawn Hamilton, to Joseph Ryan Beckley, the son of Gary and Marlene Beckley of Hudson.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hillsboro High School in Oregon and Oregon State University, where she received her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2008. She is employed as a veterinarian.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Hudson High School and Columbus College of Art and Design, where he graduated in 2004 after studying traditional and computer animation. He is employed as a digital artist at LAIKA Inc. in Portland, Ore.
The couple plans to wed in August at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Beaverton, Ore.
