Hail to the Chefs, a preview party to showcase the chefs who will participate in Taste of Hudson, will be at 7 p.m. May 31 at the Hudson Library and Historical Society.
"The event is in its third year and has been a wonderful success," said Event Chairwoman Carrie Gynn. "This year's event is going to be even more special with many additional features."
The committee for Hail to the Chefs, led by Gynn, includes Billie Henning, Jan Gusich, Vicki Parisi, Lisa Pardi, Andy Malitz, Jim Hackney, Julie Kodastky, Sue Hutchinson, Lynn Nelson and Lori Bird.
The event will begin with an outdoors wine tasting featuring several wines and appetizers catered by Western Reserve School of Cooking.
Attendees will be treated to the sounds of a jazz pianist.
At 8 p.m., the event will move indoors where at least six area chefs will showcase some of the foods they will serve at Taste of Hudson while guests enjoy tunes from the Dallas Coffey Jazz Trio and piano on the patio from Jim Henning.
The evening will also feature a coffee station provided by the Hudson Starbucks Coffee along with a dessert station, a limited silent auction and a gift for every guest.
Hail to the Chefs, like Taste of Hudson, will benefit the Safe Kids Coalition of Summit County and other local charities.
Tickets are by reservation only, but information is available online at
www.tasteofhudson.com.
Tickets are $100 per person.
Taste of Hudson will be Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
