I have been a Hudson Resident for quite a long time now. I've noticed there are a lot of deer in the city. Now I love Mother Nature as much as everyone but I feel that the over population of Deer is detrimental to their own health. A good deer population is 10 to 15 deer per square mile. I have seen 20 to 30 deer in one small area at times. Not only is this dangerous to motorists, but it is also very unhealthy for the deer. I believe that we should approach this over population in a way somewhat like Solon. Only in this case, rather than pay some company out of New York to take the deer with high powered rifles, we should allow Hudson Residents to Bow Hunt on city property or private property. Of course, this would be done during regular bow hunting seasons as set forth by the Ohio Division of Wildlife. Also, the Venison could be donated to area food banks. If you can vote to knock down more trees for housing, then you could at least vote to give wildlife a fighting chance with what little land they have left.

I was saddened to learn that Dr. F.S. Cross had died. He performed my first open heart in 1962, I was 14. Since then I have lived a full life, and I am greatly indebted to his expertise. I realize this is late, but my thoughts are with his family, and the good doctor. I had my fourth open heart October 2006. Thank you Dr Cross.

Great to finally see this web site. It must be new because many of the topics still have no information listed....seems only news and sports so far.
