The Hudson-based Burton D. Morgan Foundation announced $660,000 in grants on Jan. 26.
The grants promote entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education in Northeast Ohio and support programs in Hudson and local charitable organizations.
Three grants were made to Hudson organizations. The Hudson grants included $50,000 to the Hudson City Schools Foundation for the district’s new stadium, $30,000 to the First Congregational Church of Hudson for 2012 operating support and $116,000 over two years to Western Reserve Academy for the Burton D. Morgan Leadership Program.
The largest grant of $150,000 over two years went to Purdue University for the Burton D. Morgan Interns program at Northeast Ohio start-ups in summer 2012 and summer 2013.

Flashes of Hope – $5,000
Magical Theatre Company – $5,000
Mobile Meals Inc. – $28,500
Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron for the 2012 BEST Medicine Engineering Fair for youth - $5,000
