Boston Heights — Beginning Sept. 8, Hines Hill Road between state Route 8 and Frontage Road will be closed to connect the existing Hines Hill Road to the new Hines Hill Road over Route 8.
However, motorists will still be able to access Route 8 northbound from the east side of Hines Hill Road.
This closure is anticipated to be in place through late September.
To access the west side of Hines Hill Road, use Highland Road to Olde 8 Road to Hines Hill.
Motorists on Route 8 southbound wanting to access the east side of Hines Hill Road will be detoured Highland Road to state Route 91 to Hines Hill Road or Route 8 southbound to Seasons Road to Route 8 northbound to Hines Hill Road.
Access to local residents and businesses will be maintained.
In addition, Route 8 from Hines Hill Road to state Route 303 may have occasional lane restrictions in either or both directions during non rush hour times for roadway work. Boston Mills Road at the intersection of Route 8 is closed. Route 8 southbound is now traveling onto the newly constructed Frontage Road from Hines Hill Road to Boston Mills Road, which parallels Route 8 behind the Clarion Inn.
These traffic pattern changes will remain until late 2010. The $68 million project is scheduled to be complete by June 2011.
