Hudson Job Search will feature Al Norman, the group's vice president and adviser, who will present "Resume Preparation: The Basics" Sept. 7. Sign-in starts at 7:15 p.m., and the meeting will start at 7:30. It is free and open to the public. Norman will show job seekers how to get the attention of a prospective employer in a structured resume which highlights accomplishments. "The effective resume must be pleasing to the eye, tell not only what the job seeker has done, but put forth direct and specific benefits to the prospective employer," Norman said. Norman is retired from MacTac as the technical director of marketing and manager of product development. With more than 25 years as a HJS adviser, he has assisted hundreds of people with their job search and facilitates the practice interviews for HJS clients.
