Girls fall to Norton
The host Western Reserve Academy girls soccer team fell to 1-1 after dropping a 2-0 decision to Norton Aug. 28. Outshot 20-8, the Lady Pioneers surrendered a goal in each half.
“We just weren’ dangerous,” Reserve head coach Joe DiBiase said. “The defense did an admirable job of bending without breaking.”
WRA was scheduled to visit Akron Our Lady of the Elms Aug. 31. Results were not available at press time.
The Lady Pioneers are set to visit Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Sept. 2 at 5 p.m. before heading to Manchester Sept. 4 at 7 p.m.
Lester wins
The visiting Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy earned a 3-2 victory over Gilmour Academy Aug. 26 in Gates Mills. Hudson resident Erika Lester posted a 6-0, 6-2 win.
