Do you know someone who has made a difference in the well-being of a child?

The Coalition for Children's Mental Health is seeking individuals who deserve recognition as Hudson's unsung heroes in children's lives.

During the 11th annual Children's Mental Health Week Oct. 17 to 23, the Coalition for Children's Mental Health honors those individuals who recognize the needs of children who struggle with emotional and behavioral problems.

A Community Hero may be a teacher, counselor, coach, youth minister, neighbor, shopkeeper, tutor, club leader, or anyone who brings joy to the lives of children through their acts of kindness or selflessness.

Nominations are due Sept. 15 and can be submitted at www.HudsonCCMH.org.

Community Heroes will be recognized at the Coalition Awards Banquet Oct. 21 at the Clarion Inn in Hudson.

The Coalition for Children's Mental Health is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of behavioral and emotional disorders in children and youth. To volunteer, donate or get involved with the Coalition for Children's Mental Health, visit www.HudsonCCMH.org or call Danielle Hunt at 234-380-9061.
