Taste of Hudson will overtake downtown Hudson this Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5 and 6, featuring food from more than 20 local restaurants. Festival hours are Sept. 5 from noon to 8 p.m. and Sept. 6 from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. While admission to Taste of Hudson is free, attendees may purchase "tastes" utilizing dining cards sold at the event, or through advance purchase at Acme Fresh Market in Hudson or at www.tasteofhudson.com. Dining cards can be pre-loaded in any amount, and submitted for debiting at any of the restaurant tents. Tastes generally range from $2 to $5 each. Activities include the North End Wine & Beer Garden, a luxury automobile display, more than three dozen exhibitors, a large Acme Fresh Market sampling area, children's activities and family activities presented by Little Tikes and Jo-Ann Stores, and more than 90 performers and bands appearing throughout the festival from seven stages. An art fair at the event features more than 20 artists. Participating restaurants represent Hudson and surrounding areas and will include many styles of dining, from elegant to casual. This year's restaurant line-up includes: Hudson's on the Green (Hudson) Hudson's Catering (Hudson) Rosewood Grill (Hudson) Bay Lobsters Fish Market (Twinsburg) Blue Canyon Kitchen & Tavern (Twinsburg) Luchita's Mexican Restaurant (Hudson) Piatto Novo (Cuyahoga Falls) Hattie's Café (Hudson) Bitter's, Bones & Barley (Hudson) Zeppe's Pizzaria and Restaurant (Hudson) Marcelita's Mexican Restaurant (Hudson) Old Whedon Grill (Hudson) Donato's Pizza (Hudson) Otani Japanese Restaurant (Hudson) PizzaBOGO (Hudson) Hershey's Ice Cream (Hudson) North End (Hudson) Tomato Grill (Hudson) One Red Door (Hudson) Adams Reserve Cheese Lake Forest Country Club Taste of Laurel Lake, located in the North End Wine & Beer Garden. Taste of Hudson is co-presented by Akron Children's Hospital, Summa Health System and Acme Fresh Market Stores, and co-promoted by Windstream Communications and Laurel Lake Retirement Community in association with Little Tikes, Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores and Pepsi. More than 30,000 people annually attend Taste of Hudson making it one of the region's largest two-day festivals. Taste of Hudson is produced by volunteers within the community in order to promote Hudson area restaurants, businesses, artists and entertainers, and to provide funding for several charities, including the Safe Kids Coalition of Summit County.
