Padlock broken after hours at Hudson Park Estates pool

Hudson -- The manager of the Hudson Park Estates pool reported on Aug. 16 that somebody broke into the pool overnight.

Someone used bolt cutters to open a padlocked gate to gain access to the pool, according to the police report. The pool manager said nothing appeared to be missing from the facility.

Criminal mischief

Aug. 16. Window broken: An school district employee said someone threw a rock through a window at Evamere School on North Hayden Parkway over the weekend.

Police estimated the damage at $200.

Aug. 15. Six residences targets of vandals: Vandals targeted five homes on Bradford Way and one home on nearby Stoney Hill Drive sometime during the night.

Someone knocked three metal mailboxes off their posts but did not damage them, and three more residents said someone splattered their vehicles with mustard and ketchup. The vehicles were not damaged.

Aug. 10. Substance thrown at garage door: An Ashbrooke Way resident said someone threw an unknown substance on his garage door sometime during the night. Police estimated the damage at $50, according to the police report.

Aug. 10. House egged: A Glen Echo Drive resident said someone pelted his house with eggs after 10:30 p.m. The homeowner did not report any damage.

Theft

Aug. 14. Windows broken, purses stolen: A Windham woman said someone broke two windows on her locked vehicle while it was parked in Hudson High School's athletic field parking lot on Stow Road. Someone stole her purse and a friend's purse from the vehicle.

Police estimated the value of the purses at $100 but the contents were not itemized.

Police estimated damage to the windows was $500.

An investigation is pending.

Aug. 10. Theft from vehicle: An employee of a business on Lake Forest Drive said someone took a $5 memory stick from her unlocked vehicle while she was working, sometime between 12:30 and 4 p.m.

Aug. 9. Shrub dug up: An employee of the post office on Ravenna Street said someone stole a $100 shrub from the flower beds overnight.

Breaking and entering

Aug. 14. Park booth broken into: An employee of Hudson Springs Park said someone forced a door open in a park booth and stole a $10 cashbox with $50 cash in it sometime between 5 p.m. Aug. 13 and noon Aug. 14.

Identity theft

Aug. 13. Credit card numbers used: A Wesson Drive woman said someone used her credit card number without her authorization to obtain $800 in cash in Australia.

Suspicious vehicle

Aug. 10. Car parked in driveway: A Hettrick Park Drive resident called police after a suspicious vehicle parked in her driveway and the driver approached her home shortly after 10 p.m.

The driver and vehicle were gone when police arrived, according to report.

Disorderly conduct

Aug. 15. Resident reports fight: An Atterbury Boulevard resident said three men were involved in a fight in his front yard shortly after midnight.

Police discovered three intoxicated men nearby, two of the men supporting a third, according to a police spokesperson. They were not involved in a fight.

When the police officer located the three and advised the men to halt, the two men dropped the third man, causing him to fall face forward in the grass.

The three were warned by police they could be arrested for their public intoxication, but no charges were filed.<FEFF> The men were released to the custody of a friend, who lived nearby, who said he would see that they got home safely.

Driving while intoxicated

Aug. 12. Hudson man arrested: A 20-year-old Hudson man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, failing to observe traffic lanes and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle shortly after midnight on Barlow Road.

The man failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Hudson Police Department. His vehicle was towed.

He was later released on a personal recognizance bond.

Driving under suspension

Aug. 12. Ravenna Street man arrested: A 31-year-old Ravenna Street man was arrested and charged with driving under suspension and driving without brake lights at 4:16 p.m. on Ravenna Street.

His vehicle was towed. He was cited and released.
