The Hudson Newcomers Club will host its annual "Get Acquainted Coffee" on Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Hudson Library and Historical Society's large meeting room. The event is designed to welcome new residents to the area and help them discover ways to get involved in the community. A variety of local clubs and organizations will share information about their groups. Coffee and refreshments will be served. The Newcomers Club will have tables set up with information on memberships and dues (returning members can renew dues), special interest groups, its fashion show and more. Newcomers host social The Hudson Newcomers Club will host its annual meeting and Get Acquainted Social on Sept. 8 at the Old Whedon Grille, 200 N. Main St., at 7 p.m. Guests will learn about the club while enjoying a ladies' night out. Club President Lindsay Sirak will highlight the club's purpose, share the board's plans for the new year, and answer questions about Newcomers. Appetizers and a cash bar will be offered.
