Helen D. Smyth, 87, of Hudson died Aug. 11, 2010, at the Hudson Elms.
She was born Oct 23, 1922, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (McCoy) Connors. She was a 1941 graduate of Ursuline High School. She worked in the office of St. Dominic Church, retiring in 1996.
She is survived by her children, Arthur (Dianne) Smyth of Hudson, Carol Smyth of Dallas, and Robert (Cheryl) Smyth of Forney, Texas; five grandchildren, Corinne (Jason) Gries, and Suzanne, Shannon, Zach and Jacob Smyth; and sister, Rita Murphy of Brandon, Fla. She is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Connors.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Aug. 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 340 N. Main St. Interment will beat Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Dominic Building Fund, 77 E. Lucius Ave, Youngstown, OH 44507. Arrangements are being handled by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home.
