Donald W. Papes, 60, of Boston Township died unexpectedly Aug. 5, 2010. Born in Cleveland, he lived in Boston Township for the past 40 years. Mr. Papes started his career in construction engineering initially managing a construction site in Saudi Arabia, then transitioning to property management in the Akron area. He loved traveling and had visited 72 countries, and actively volunteered with the Akron Public Schools as a reading tutor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Irene Papes, and brother-in-law, Woody Dickinson. He is survived by wife, Dianne; step-children, Abbie (Matt) Henderson and Aaron (Kelly) Lear; grandchildren, Evie, Teddy, Ryan and Penny; sister, Diane Dickinson; nephew, Woody (LeAnn) Dickinson, Jr.; and two great nephews. Services were scheduled for Aug. 10. Memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Road, Twinsburg 44087, or Akron Intergroup Council of AA, 775 N.
