Jennifer Ann May and Brian Patrick Rabel were united in marriage Oct. 3, 2009, in St. Francis Chapel of John Carroll University with the Rev. John Jerek officiating. The bride is the daughter of Tim and Jill May of Hudson. The bridegroom is the son of William and Charlene Rabel of Mineral Ridge. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a symphony diamond white taffetta gown with pleating along the bodice with several pick-up cascades throughout with a lace up back and chapel length train that pulled into a French bustle. She carried a bouquet of stephanotis, white hydrangea, white cymbidium orchids, pearl wrapped in spring green damask bouquet wrap. The maids of honor were the bride's sisters, Amy May of Hudson and Kristin May of Miami. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends, Jenny Baker of Hudson, Erin Heydorn of Charlotte, N.C., and Tracey Fennel of Raleigh, N.C. The flower girls were Clare Lyons of Bath, the bride's niece, and Sarah Hall of Newbury, the bride's cousin. The bridegroom's brother, William A. Rabel of Mineral Ridge, was the best man. Ushers were the bridegroom's friends, Brian Lavorini of Chicago, Curtis Baker of Hudson, Shea Stewart of Akron, and William Lally of Mayfield Heights. Special out of town guests at the wedding included the bride's aunt and uncle, Judy and Bill Eyerdom of Philadelphia; the bride's cousins, Brad and Kathy Novak and family from Richmond, Va.; family friends Bob and Mary Ann Jiaconia from Greensboro, Ga.; and Mark Hutchinson from Gaithersburg, Md. After a reception at the Bertram Inn's Hayes Ballroom, the newlyweds honeymooned at Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. The bride is a 2001 graduate of Hudson High School and a 2005 graduate of Kent State University. She is employed by Charles Schwab in Richfield. The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Ursuline High School and a 2006 graduate of John Carroll University. He is employed with Group Transportation Services in Hudson.
