Dorothy M. Scott, 81, of Stow, died July 3, 2010.
She lived most of her life in the Portage Lakes area of Akron before retiring to San Diego for 26 years with her husband, Joe, recently returning to Stow to be with her family.
She was a registered nurse. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Joseph.
She is survived by daughter Suzanne (Jim) Felter of Stow; sons Stephen (Mary) Scott and David (Lisa) Scott of California; grandchildren Megan, Shannon, Michael, Patrick, Beth, Andrew, Ryan and Krista; and brothers Robert (Kay) Schotzinger of Tallmadge and Charles (Kristina) Schotzinger of Medina.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial was at National Cemetery at Point Loma in S.D., Calif.
Memorials may be made to Akron Children's Hospital-Pulmonary Department, 1 Perkins Square Akron 44308.
