Lookouts seek players for baseball teams
The Brownlee Lookouts are seeking players in several different age groups for their travel baseball teams. All players are asked to arrive 30 minutes before tryout time to register.
Tryouts for the teams are scheduled as follows:
11-and-younger: Aug. 7 and 21 from 10 a.m. to noon at 27054 Route 58 in Wellington. Contact Jeff Myers at 330-815-0440 for information.
12-and-younger: Aug. 8 and 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bath Baseball Park, located at 2600 Everett Road. Contact Jim Gutierrez at 330-328-5001.
13-and-younger: July 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. and Aug. 1 and 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 245 Northeast Ave. in Tallmadge. Contact Kevin Pratt at 330-328-3576 or prattmandu@yahoo.com.
14-and-younger: Aug. 7 and 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bath Baseball Park and Aug. 8 and 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Mayfield High School’s junior varsity field at 6116 Wilson Mills Road in Mayfield Village. Contact Phil Solitario at 330-572-5523.
15-and-younger and 16-and-younger: Aug. 8 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and Aug. 14 and 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mayfield High School varsity field. Contact Paul Brownlee at 330-807-2889.

Tick Tock Triathlon returns to Hudson
The fourth annual Tick Tock Triathlon for Kids is scheduled to take place Aug. 14 at the Hudson Park Estates pool and commons area across from Hudson High School on Hudson-Aurora Road.
The race is open to kids 18 and younger and there are multiple age-group divisions with distances to match the age group. Race is set to start at 8 a.m.
There is a $20 entry fee with all proceeds going to the American Heart Association.

Bombers host tryouts for next summer
The Ohio Bombers baseball team is scheduled to host tryouts for its travel teams for summer 2011.
Tryouts are set for Aug. 1 and 8 at Akron Springfield J.E.D.D. Park, located at 2300 Pickle Road in Akron.
Players should arrive early, wear cleats and provide their own gloves and bats.
On Aug. 1, tryouts for 9-and-younger, 10-and-younger and 12-and-younger are scheduled for from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., while 11-and-younger, 13-and-younger and 14-and-younger are set from 4 to 6 p.m.
On Aug. 8, 11-and-younger, 13-and-younger and 14-and-younger tryouts are set from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., while 9-and-younger, 10-and-younger and 12-and-younger are scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m.
