Edwards fares well Hudson resident Zac Edwards threw a complete game during the Lake Erie Bulldogs baseball team’s 9-5 victory over the Cincinnati Hurricanes in the opening round of the Continental Amateur Baseball Association 17-and-younger World Series Tournament recently. Edwards allowed three earned runs and finished with six strikeouts and one walk. He allowed six hits in seven innings of work. Edwards also finished with five strikeouts in six innings during a 4-3 win over the 18-and-younger Stark County Terriers July 11. He allowed just one earned run. Edwards also made three starts and two relief appearances during the Cincy Flames Tournament of Champions earlier in the month in Cincinnati. The standout pitcher had a 5-3 record on the mound with one save as of press time.
