Louis Ferguson Sr., 75, died on July 26, 2010, from complications due to lung cancer.
Mr. Ferguson graduated from Eureka, Ill., High School, spent three years in the Army and then attended the University of Illinois, where he graduated with a degree in engineering.
He joined PPG Industries, where he worked 33 years at various plants receiving numerous awards for community service. He and his family moved to Hudson in 1981 when he was transferred as plant manager of a nearby fabrication plant.
While in Hudson he was a 20-year volunteer for Hudson EMS.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Connie (Siverly). He is survived by a son, Louis; two daughters, Patricia (Colwell) and Teresa (Ciotti); two grandchildren, Alex and Stephen; and sister, Margaret (Anderson).
No services are scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to Hudson Community Service, P.O. Box 1472, Hudson, OH 44236.
