by Marsha McKenna Senior Editor Democrat Frank Comunale of Akron will face Republican Frank LaRose in November for election to the Ohio Senate as representative of the 27th District. According to final but unofficial results from the Summit Board of Elections for the May 4 Democratic primary, Comunale won over Tamela Lee of Fairlawn. Comunale garnered 13,422 votes (65.13 percent) to Lee's 7,187 votes (34.87 percent). LaRose was unopposed in the Republican primary and received 15,155 votes. Comunale is in his second term as Summit County Council representative for District 4. Sen. Kevin Coughlin (R-Cuyahoga Falls) is term limited and cannot seek re-election. District 27 covers Cuyahoga Falls, Silver Lake, Hudson, Macedonia, Northfield Center Township, Northfield Village, Sagamore Hills, Stow, Munroe Falls, Twinsburg, Twinsburg Township and Reminderville.
