Three Hudson residents seeking the District 42 State House seat in November ran unopposed but still garnered some support on the May 4 ballot.

Incumbent Mike Moran (D-Hudson) received 5,093 votes, Hudson City Council member Kristina Daley Roegner (R-Hudson) received 6,092 votes and Libertarian John Hoover of Hudson received 43, according to final but unofficial numbers from the Summit County Board of Elections.

The three will face off in the November general election.

Members of the House of Representatives in Ohio are elected every two years, take office in January of odd years and are limited to serve four consecutive terms. Moran is serving his first term.

District 42 includes Hudson, Silver Lake, Cuyahoga Falls, Munroe Falls and Stow.
