Children entering kindergarten in the fall are eligible to attend Safety Town through Hudson Community Education and Registration.
Directed by Ginger Graber, fire educational coordinator for Hudson, Safety Town is offered for five sessions; morning and afternoon sessions June 14-24, morning and afternoon sessions June 28-July 9 and an evening session July 12-22. All programs are at Evamere Elementary.
Safety Town teaches the proper way to cross the street, the meaning of intersection, pedestrian and motorist safety; safety signs, safe places to play, the proper way to use the playground equipment, bus procedures, stranger danger, the importance of fastening safety belts and more.
Mail in registration forms by March 19 for the Safety Town lottery. Registration continues after March 19 with in-person registration at HCER, 2440 Hudson Aurora Road, until the program is filled.
