Hudson -- An audit released by the state March 11 gave the school district an "A" in financial reporting.

The audit for the Hudson City School District was for the period July 1, 2008, to June 30, 2009. It was conducted by Julian & Grube Inc., an independent auditing firm from Westerville. It was then approved by the state auditor's office.

"The results of our tests disclosed no instances of noncompliance or other matters," Julian & Grube Inc. wrote in the audit report. "In our opinion, Hudson City School District complied, in all material respects, with the requirements."

The audit uncovered no findings for recovery and did not include a management letter, which would have indicated if there were any problems with the audit, according to Chris Abbruzzese, a spokesperson for State Auditor Mary Taylor.

The comprehensive annual financial report showed the district reported $58,806,364 in revenues and $58,218,994 in expenditures for the time period.

School Treasurer Bart Griffith was on vacation March 11 and unavailable for comment.
