Residents don't often equate a trailerpark with success. But one local man is hoping his March 19 "Trailerpark" stint helps launch him from Hudson to Hollywood.

Stefan Kumor, 23, and a 2005 Hudson High School grad, will appear in the film "Trailerpark" at the Cleveland International Film Festival at Tower City March 19 through 21. Kumor plays "lovable stoner" Bruce Severance, a resident of the film's titled trailerpark.

The movie, produced by Conor Hogan and Frederick Lewis, and directed by Jonny Look, is based on a collection of short stories by Russell Banks and deals with the residents of a trailerpark over the course of a year and how their lives and paths intersect.

This is not Kumor's first time on front of the lens. He has been in several productions and was an extra on 2008 episode of NBC's "The Office."

"It was a great experience to work on a full-length film," Kumor said.

He said the film was made by students at Ohio University.

"This is the first full-length film they have done," he said.

According to Kumor's mom, Cyndi, after graduation in June, Stefan plans "to move to Los Angeles this summer in pursuit of becoming a professional actor."

"It's going to be a long, hard road and certainly not an easy one," Cyndi said of her son's pursuit.

But Cyndi said she believes her son has the personality and talent to take him to his dream.

Right now Stefan is working to build up acting credits, she said.

"You have to build a resume like any other job," she said.

Cyndi said movie goers will be in for a treat last this month in at the film festival.

"I've seen the movie and it's rather good," Cyndi said.

"Trailerpark" will be shown March 19 at 6:45 p.m.; March 20 at 1:45 p.m. and March 21 at 11:15 a.m.
