The Western Reserve Community Band, conducted by Ralph Meyer, will present its 13th annual Spring Concert in the Hudson Middle School auditorium at 3 p.m. March 21. Admission is free. The theme for this year's program is Russian music. Music featured on the first half of the program will include: Procession of the Nobles, Berceuse and Finale from Firebird Suite, Il Vecchio Castello, Festive Overture and Russian Sailors Dance. Music after the intermission includes: Serenade for Strings, Flight of the Bumblebee, Russian Rag, Highlights from Fiddler on the Roof and God Bless America by Irving Berlin. The Stow Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Darrell Lee Music, will be featured on the concert after intermission performing two movements from Serenade for Strings by Tchaikovsky. Vocalists MJ Lehman and Harry Selner will sing the duet "Do You Love Me" from "Fiddler on the Roof." Hudson Cable TV host Frank Youngwerth will be the master of ceremonies. The Western Reserve Community Band, founded in 1997, has grown to more than 60 members from 19 surrounding communities. The band is open to all adult instrumental musicians in Summit County and the surrounding area.
