Entrepreneurship program looks at product globalization

Deciding to export a product and realizing the major, long-term commitment involved will be the topic of the program "Product Globalization: A 10-point Checklist and One Bad Example" at the Hudson Library on Tuesday March 16 at 7 p.m., part of the library's Winter/Spring 2010 Entrepreneurship Series of events.

Bob Chalfant will discuss his and others' experience in deciding whether and how to export products. He will discuss many of the difficult questions to ask and answer, describe some of the pitfalls and provide a wealth of resources.

Chalfant is the founding partner of NEO Management LLC, a management consultancy, investment and property management firm. He has more than 25 years of global sales and marketing experience in consumer products and high value capital equipment.

Learn the requirements and essentials of doing business as a not-for-profit corporation March 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hudson Library and Historical Society. William Glaeser, retired president and general manager of Northeastern Educational Television of Ohio Inc., will lead the workshop designed for those already in business or start-ups. This event is part of the library's Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship Research's Winter/Spring Entrepreneurship Series. The workshop is free, but registration is required.
